#Future

Today was a better day. Worked from home, got an afternoon work out in during my lunch, and attended my first virtual webinar for the start of my masters degree. It seems crazy that a couple days ago I was feeling so reminiscent and sad, and now today so motivated.

That’s how it goes though; some days are amazing, and some days, painful. It’s the moments of the tough days that build us as people, strong minded and goal oriented people that won’t let the bad days overtake us. Maybe it’s my positive mindset that allows me to turn the bad days into learning points. If so, then I’m glad I have a powerful perception and that one even exists.

Taking time for myself today and catching up on my favorite TV series was also so relaxing. I feel like I never have time to enjoy watching shows because I’m always running around doing other things.

Take time, reflect and relax. I also started this prayer journal I got for Christmas from a friend. It has you reflect weekly on what’s going on in your daily life and some scripture from the Bible. I’m not one of those people who goes to church every week. I just can’t seem to fit within the constraints of a church attendee anywhere in my local community. Every one I’ve been to seems to be all about singing, and doesn’t have me believe that everyone in that church would give the shirt off their back to someone struggling. Not saying there’s anything wrong with every church; I just haven’t gotten the warm and fuzzys from any particular place. I now see why my dad didn’t go to church. He preferred self study too. So to have something I can self study with is perfect for me.

I do believe in a higher power, but to fall within specific parameters to make you a certain facet of the religion seems silly to me. Just treat others how you’d want to be treated, have respect, and do good deeds in the world. That’s all it’s really about anyway.

I digress, today was a great day. One day at a time, keep future goals in pace. I desire greatness and fulfillment in myself and hope to achieve that someday. Have to start with today 🙂
