There’s a lot of things people tell you to buy, and you end up never using. For instance, we haven’t even touched our bottle warmer. I also didn’t end up breast feeding for very long and wasn’t an over producer, so all those storage bags and storage gadgets were also useless for me.
But here are the things we don’t regret putting on our registry and stuff we actually use!

It’s nice to not get diaper rash cream all over your hands when applying to your baby. That Destin is hardcore, and I hate when it gets on my hands! (It’s a texture thing for me). I also love that it has a carrying case to travel with, so we bought two 🙂
GAME CHANGER ALERT! I love this compared to a regular set of nail clippers. I use the softest attachment on our daughter for a quick and easy trim of her razor sharp nails (if you know, you know!) It’s cordless (battery operated) and comes with a storage case. Different colors available!
I love the age dividers! They help my husband and I organize baby girl’s clothes and the tags are so cute!
Now, the 3 important things about this bassinet that I ADORE are that the height is adjustable, the side rolls down so you can see your baby while you’re in bed and that its on WHEELS! I love that we can move this about the house, and have her be wherever we are. I do suggest however changing out the wheels with these:
We noticed in the hospital that the bassinet they had glided and was quiet while moving her around. Super important when she’s napping. We got these wheels, and they’re super quiet and glide a lot better than the plastic wheels that came with the bassinet. I will say, they are very snug, and my husband had a “fun” time putting them on, but they’re so much better! Watch out for your toes though, less forgiving if you stub your toe on them than the original wheels.
This really beats having to hunch over the bathtub while your baby is small enough for the sink! Folds up nicely for storage, and the cover can easily come off for machine washing. Make sure to check your sink’s dimensions compared to its size to ensure a nice fit!
I do like this diaper pail, because it doesn’t require special bags. You can use your normal trash bags in it, and its a good size. You don’t want too big of one because big pail = more stinky diapers. Those suckers can get heavy, and stinky when it’s time to take the trash out. The diaper pail does a good job of holding in the smell…until you have to open it and throw one in…that’s where the next product comes in!
This stuff works soooo well! My husband and I will spray it in the pail when we change a bag, and spray it in the bag (1-2 sprays) when we throw a stinky diaper in. It really cuts down on the smell, and makes it much more pleasant to be in the baby’s room.
This mat is super cute, is a very neutral pattern and super padded for baby’s playtime on the floor. I also love that you can customize the size if need be. When she no longer needs in her room, I’m going to keep it and turn it into a workout mat to keep inside! Much better than doing floor workouts on vinyl flooring.
I really didn’t want another appliance hanging out on our limited counter space, so I opted for the microwave version. I made the right call for sure! Only takes 4 minutes to sterilize your bottles and accessories, simple to clean and store. I absolutely love this!
This baby book is BEAUTIFUL!!! No matter if you’re having a boy or girl, I really like this one 🙂
Some wonderful friends got this for us, and it’s such a genius way to keep your baby’s keepsakes. It comes with label stickers so you can customize the compartments and folders and it looks sleek on your bookshelves! Love love LOVE!!
This pack n’ play is nice, because it grows with you and your baby. It gives a safe place for your baby when they’re super little, and then a safe place when they start moving around 6 months. We now use the bottom section, since she’s bigger and love it for when we might have to make a bathroom run, knowing our baby is in a safe place. I would not leave them unattended on the changing table portion, but the bassinet and play pen are safe based on the recommended ages.
