What We Gave Our Labor & Delivery and Postpartum Care Teams

With all the crazy and hectic things going on in hospitals these days, we really wanted to say thank you to our healthcare workers that took care of us during the most important time of our lives up to this moment. We made some baskets filled with a bunch of goodies for the team to pick and choose what they’d like. I like the freedom for them to choose their own snacks/goodies so no one was obligated to take something they didn’t want.

We did a snack basket and a pamper pack basket (to keep the food separated from the smelly good things), and made two sets of baskets. One set for Labor & Delivery team, and one set for the Postpartum Care team. That way, all the team got a chance to get something, rather than all the goodies be gone by the time we got to the Postpartum ward. Everything was also individually wrapped for safety 🙂

Below are the links to the goodies we had in the baskets to give you some ideas if you’d like to do this for your care team! We definitely were the hit patients of the maternity ward, and made all new friends this way 😉 So I think it was a super fun idea, and I’d do it again for them! They deserve it for all the care and nurturing energy they show us patients everyday!

Each link and photo does have my affiliate link to each item. As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases. Of course there’s no obligation to use my code, but I would super appreciate you if you did! 🙂

I will tell you, there are cheaper baskets at Walmart and Target that might work in your budget more than the ones linked above. Be sure to use baskets that you may never see again, as you might forget them with all the hustle and bustle, or want to leave the left over goodies behind like we did. These are linked for visual inspo of an example basket. They’re so cute!

Snack Baskets Items:

We also included some individually wrapped valentine’s day candy (Reese’s Pink hearts, Skittles), since our daughter was born on Valentine’s day. We weren’t positive for sure, but I had a feeling and was right!

Pamper Packs:

I used these cellophane bags and put one of each below inside them. These made little kits that they could take home and use to relax after their shifts.

I also made some signs to put by the baskets thanking the health workers for all they did, and a note to please take what they’d like. This way they’d feel comfortable without us having to remember to tell them 🙂
